In U.S., they called it “ZBoard” by Way Basics while in Japan they called it “JGBoard” by Low-Carbon- Life.
After much attention and exposure from the media and successful launch overseas, ive Design Studio, had finally secured the sole distribution rights to bring it into our shores.
And we decided to give credits to its inventor by calling its original name, the “GBoard”.
Introduction to GBoard
Based on an international patent technique develop in 1995, it was improved and updated to provide an alternative replacement for light weight particle board or chipboard home furniture.
- This revolutionary material which we are looking at is made up of 99% recycled post consumer recycled paper and it is 100% recyclable at the end of its product lifecycle (recycling it are just as simple as typical paper recycling process).
- Comparable with particle board in terms of strength, bearing up to 40KG (with reference to GCube, certification body SGS (Société Générale de Surveillance), it is also 62% lighter making it easy to handle.
- GBoard’s surfaces are treated to be water-resistant and are easy to clean, hence maintenance is kept minimal.
- It does not contain when compared to the tradition particle board, all those harmful chemicals like formaldehyde or any VOC (volatile organic compound) which would have been harmful to you and most importantly, your family.

And what is so special about this GBoard furniture is that, you required no tools to assemble it.
Yes, no tools. Whatever is required is been packed into the package, including a simple assembly guide.
Assembly is simple and straight forward. You wouldn’t find packets of screws or nails in our package but just the GBoards and some paper dowel pins. This is because our GBoard comes pre-fix with industrial strength 3M adhesive and installation is as straight forward as peeling, inserting the paper dowel pins and stick.
