Saw this interesting article today about this simple multipurpose bench and I think it will be a good share to the readers.

And I am referring to the “Karpett”, a multipurpose roll up bench, a design from 5.5 Designers.

The “Karpett” does sounds like “carpet” simply because it was designed for a flooring company, Tarkett.

Simple in design, it is a actually a bench which its seats are made up of rolled-up ground coverings foam pad which are secured as a roll with traditional belts buckle adding character to the design.

Unbuckling these belts buckle, will allow the user to unroll the ground covering foam pad and instantly changes the form and functionality.

And when you want to convert it back to a bench, just roll it up via a handle located at the side of the bench.

I can see this as a great additional for loft, study rooms or even office where occasional guests drop by for the night. Simple and functional.
